Happy New Year!
Oh! Oh! It's 2007 now! Every year I live to see is a personal victory for me. Anyway, I'd like to think that I've gotten a little better in my artwork, and I'd like to think I'd be a little more motivated to work on this and other comics. Well, I recently found what I was capable of in terms of coloring digitally, and have since held myself to a higher standard.

The year in review... Ehhhh... Not a very productive one as far as PoL goes. We seem to only turn out two books a year, what with all the impromptu breaks and all. I don't know how things will work out once I return to school, especially since I plan to take a part-time job and an extracurricular drawing class. I'll do my best to update in a timely manner, but my education will always come first. That's the reality of it.

Anyway, here's to another year of PoL! *raises glass of Sunny D*

Your artwork is definately better and, yep, that coloring was fantastic! I look forward to seeing what you come up with once you're all edumacated. So, after school is done are you going to start applying for Madison Avenue type jobs or Dark Horse Comics? :-)

What kind of degree do you get after finishing school? Is it a 2 year degree of some sort?

I thought that I would try for DH initially, but I find myself more and more interested in concept art for video games. Perhaps if I can better myself in the sequential area my interest in drawing comics professionally will come back to me.

I already have an Associates of Fine Art in illustration (2 year), and am currently working for my Bachelors degree in the same field, so assuming I'll have money to pay for another year's schooling, I'll have my BFA in '08. :D

Bethesda Softworks is in Rockville MD so that'd be pretty close to Delaware if you wanted to go for concept art. Also, Electronic Arts has a studio in Orlando and they do internships. Hopefully they don't outsource all of their art to China. :-)

It'd be pretty fun working for a game company even if you do have to work 80 hours a week. You can even have time for a girlfriend as long as she works at the same place you do.

Seriously, you can make a bunch of money working for a gaming company while you're still young (an unattached) enough for the big-time workload. If you can get a job in the comics industry it'd probably be better for your sanity. Then again, there's always Hollywood! :-)
